OPPLE Timeline

OPPLE’s beginning back in 1996, was deep-rooted in its founders’ vision of delivering European-quality products for both Chinese consumers and the world.

Zhongshan City, in southern China, became the home of Mrs. Ma and Mr. Wang’s ceiling lights manufacturing company. Three years later, that the brand was launched and the #OPPLE trademark was officially registered.

Around that time, the brand’s potential seemed unstoppable: increasing its production levels through new factories and offices, OPPLE was able to light up more and more homes every year. OPPLE’s has had one main vision since its opening, quality affordable lighting for all, and this dream of universality was getting closer.

Shanghai became the company’s headquarters location in 2009, following a strategic need as China’s now best-selling lighting brand.

2012 marked the start of new challenges and achievements, with the opening of the largest lighting-manufacturing site in Asia in the city of Wujiang, China, as well as the Shanghai Research Application Center. Wujiang incorporated an R&D Center right alongside the Factory one year later, strengthening OPPLE’s commitment to innovation and to becoming a global leader in lighting technology.

After reaching out to consumers and partners all the way in South America through Brazil’s branch; the 2014 incorporation of Netherlands and India’s offices made clear the ambition of a brand that had now effectively localized its presence across the globe, in four continents and over 50countries. Nearly 20 years after OPPLE’s founding, we can’t help but being proud of the hard work that drives our progress. We are grateful to each and all who trust us and share our values while we continue to improve and aim even higher.
