OPPLE R&D center was founded in 1996 with a mission to advance the effective use of light and create a positive legacy for society and the environment. With 10 years effort, it has built a good reputation as an objective and effective research center providing reliable information about lighting technologies, and products.
The center includes several departments, such as Light Sources Laboratory, Lamp Laboratory, and Light Sources Controller Laboratory etc. Occupying two floors in the Headquarters’ Building, R&D researchers lead efforts to find better ways to provide energy-efficient and effective lighting. About 90 professional engineers and 100 technicians concentrate on the various products range design, lighting study, analyze, test etc. and dedicate to lighting science & technology study.
In R&D center advanced equipments are used to assure that the products meet international standards. For example, Tektronix waveform monitors; US-made data acquisition machine and light, temperature and humidity systems from Taiwan’s Giant Force. They are working closely with the researchers and creating values for man.
Also the center has forged strong ties with university institutions, and outstanding scientists in lighting industry support the center as consultants; ensure that high quality products can be provided to customers. This teamwork ensures the highest quality in our results and the center has developed customized research programs to meet the needs of society and industry.
